Personal care can mean many things. It all depends on the context. Regarding older adults, personal care means providing them help with activities they can no longer do by themselves. It is a part of caregiving that focuses on helping all ages with physical movements and their bodies.
At our agency, we provide various types of care, but the focus is on personal care of the highest quality. Our program starts with the people we hire. Our caregivers are well-trained and prepared for all challenges coming their way. All of our caregivers come with extensive experience in caregiving services.
For most people, personal care is a broad term, but it usually refers to helping people, elderly or not, with toileting and personal hygiene. It also includes helping the Client maintain a good personal appearance, dressing, and other tasks that help maintain their dignity.
At Mary Francis Home Care we offer help to our Clients with basic needs such as:
- Showering and bathing
- Oral hygiene
- Dressing for outside activities but also for bed
- Support with shaving
- Help with using a toilet
- Assistance getting out of bed in the morning
- Eating
Older adults can have many needs, and our program can be designed to offer general assistance, which is the same for all Clients or we can customize it to the specific needs of the client. Activities such as walking, eating, bathing, dressing, and using the toilet are primary offerings.
Regardless of your choice of basic personal care or choosing a customized plan for yourself or your loved one, we guarantee the highest quality of care. Our caregivers are available for you at any time of day, regardless of where you are. We assist even when you are on vacation, relaxing in your home or a hotel, or if you are cruising the Caribbean.
Regardless of the program you choose, our caregivers will offer you high-quality care services at a location of your choice. Additional services can include:
